The International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and metabolic disorders (IFSO) is happy to launch the First Online Course on the Fundamentals of Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery.

IFSO's Mission is “to unify the global scientific, surgical and integrated health communities, for the purpose of dissemination of knowledge, collaboration and establishing universal standards of care for the treatment of individuals with adiposity-based chronic disease".

This Course is meant for Fellows or early career Surgeons who want to take up Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery as a specialty of focus.

The Course is divided into 4 Chapters. In each Chapter the learner will be guided through the sections by a worldwide renowned bariatric surgeon, who will be the Personal Tutor for that specific Chapter.



Before and after each Chapter you will have to pass a Test to evaluate your learning outcomes. At the end of all four Chapters, and after passing the final Test, you will receive the IFSO Certificate of Completion.
